SlurryForSoil™ is the only slurry inoculant specifically designed and formulated for the benefit of soil and plant health. It uses advanced, second-generation microbial technology, containing 18 different plant growth promoting rhizobacteria and fungi to turn slurry into a highly effective bioactive fertiliser.
SlurryForSoil™ makes slurry handling quicker, mobilises and retains more available nutrients, as well as reducing odour. The SlurryForSoil bacteria and fungi are proven to increase grass root growth and yields too.
Ultimately, SlurryForSoil™ is self-financing and gives a significant return on investment by increasing productivity, reducing costs and benefits the environment.
How much do I need?
To calculate how much SlurryForSoil™ you need, enter the volume of slurry you expect to be storing at the end of the season. If you need help calulating the volume we have a handy volume calculator or you can call us and we can help you.
SlurryForSoil™ is a complex blend of 18 different Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria and Fungi (PGPR & Fs), chosen for their proven abilities to enhance soil structure, plant health, and productivity.
The microbes in SlurryForSoil™ feed on the slurry, releasing enzymes to break down the complex organic matter and produce a highly effective bioactive fertiliser with a homogenised texture.
This makes slurry handling quicker and easier. Stored slurry needs less stirring, and is easier to apply, with farmers reporting far fewer blockages.
It’s the wide range of microbes, and their associated benefits – from pathogen resistance to soil bioremediation – that make SlurryForSoil™ unique.
What is SlurryForSoil™?
SlurryForSoil is a complex blend of 18 different plant growth promoting rhizobacteria
and fungi, specifically chosen for their soil and plant health benefits.
It’s a natural, environmentally friendly product which initiates and accelerates the
aerobic decomposition and bio-digestion of slurry, to create a valuable bio-active
fertiliser.
What are the benefits of using SlurryForSoil™
The microbes in SlurryForSoil are proven to:
• Reduce flies as well as emissions of harmful greenhouse gases and odours, such
as ammonia, hydrogen sulphide, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.
• Make handling slurry quicker and easier by reducing crust and sludge. The
liquefication of slurry not only reduces blockages at application, but facilitates
quicker absorption into the soil.
• Increase the nutritional value of slurry, and their bio-availability to soil & crops,
improving forage/crop quality and yields.
• Control plant pests and diseases, as well as improving soil health.
• Improve the environment within animal housing, therefore improving animal
welfare.
• Reduce toxicity of slurry
Ultimately SlurryForSoil reduces costs and improves profit margins, while offering
multiple environmental benefits.
How does SlurryForSoil™ work?
The soil-originating microbes multiply rapidly and spread throughout the slurry,
producing many enzymes which digest the organic matter. They break down any
proteins and fibres, capturing and retaining nutrients and micronutrients within
the slurry.
The treated slurry contains huge numbers of Plant Growth Promoting
Rhizobacteria and Fungi (PGPR & F) which solubilise plant nutrients and actively
transport these within plants leading to more root and shoot growth and better
soil health.
The SlurryForSoil™ Microbes take time to multiple and digest the slurry organic matter and must be present in sufficient numbers in your slurry store to be able to outcompete the natural bugs found in the anaerobic slurry. This is why it is important to give adequate time for the SlurryForSoil microbes to multiple and expand throughout the slurry store and dominate the natural bugs present in the slurry lagoon.
When slurry is removed from your store, you will also need to replace the SlurryForSoil™ Microbes in the slurry by adding a further half dose or full dose depending on how much slurry is removed. This also maintains the dominance of SlurryForSoil™ Microbes over the natural anaerobic bugs normally present in slurry.
Using SlurryForSoil™ in cattle slurry is very simple. Use 1kg of SlurryForSoil per 120,000 litres (26,000 Gallons) of expected FINAL slurry volume.
3 Simple Steps to using:
Step 1 – Premix in a container of hand warm water (more than 30ºC but less than
37ºC) 5 Litres of water per kg of product mixed.
Step 2 – Stir well until the powder has dissolved and leave for 45 minutes.
Step 3 – Stir again before adding to the liquid layer of the slurry.
Important notes about using SlurryForSoil™
Water above 40ºC can kill the microbes.
Do not use disinfectants other than those used routinely in the parlour, as they may kill SlurryForSoil’s bacteria and fungi.
Apply to the liquid layer of slurry and not to the crust or sludge. SlurryForSoil will not work or may not work well if applied to the crust or sludge in slurry stores.
Leave treated slurry for at least 6-8 weeks and apply a booster dose after 12 weeks. The booster dose is generally half the inoculant dose.

As a general rule: If you remove less then half the slurry volume from your store, then you will need to add a further half dose of SlurryForSoil. If you remove more than half the volume of slurry from your store then a further full dose of SlurryForSoil will need to be added to your slurry to maintain adequate numbers of SlurryForSoil microbes and dominant the anaerobic bugs naturally found in Slurry.
Avoid contact with eyes and avoid inhaling product when mixing.

Using SlurryForSoil™ in Pig slurry is very simple. Use 1kg of SlurryForSoil per 120,000 litres (26,000 Gallons) of expected FINAL slurry volume.
Step 1 – Premix in a container of hand warm water (more than 30ºC but less than
37ºC) at a minimum of 5 Litres of water per kg of product.
Step 2 – Stir well until the powder has dissolved and leave for approximately 12
hours in a warm place (ideally 22-23ºC) to allow the microbes to reactivate and
multiply. Please note that a small amount of Zeolite mineral will settle out.
Step 3 – After 12 hours, stir and pour through the slats or directly into the slurry
tank or store. If it is a very long slatted passage, pour in 2 or 3 locations along its
length.
