SlurryForSoil™ to debut at Groundswell

Sylgen Animal Health, the pioneering manufacturers of SlurryForSoil™, will be exhibiting, for the first time, at Groundswell, at Lannock Manor Farm in Hertfordshire, on June 26th and 27th, 2024.

Groundswell serves as a forum for farmers, growers and those interested in food and the environment to converge and delve into the theory and practical applications of regenerative farming systems. It provides an unparalleled platform for industry stakeholders to immerse themselves in the latest advancements and best practices within the realm of sustainable food production and environmental conservation.

Marking their debut, Sylgen Animal Health is poised to showcase their flagship product, SlurryForSoil™, a revolutionary slurry inoculant formulated specifically for soil and plant health.

“We are thrilled to showcase SlurryForSoil™ at Groundswell, an event that aligns perfectly with our commitment to fostering sustainable and profitable agriculture practices,” says Geoff Hooper, Director of Sylgen Animal Health. “Our product represents a paradigm shift in slurry management, offering farmers a powerful tool to enhance productivity while enhancing the soil biome, and by facilitating the reduction in fertiliser use, lowering carbon footprints.”

SlurryForSoil™ proves invaluable to dairy farmers embracing the principles of regenerative production. Designed specifically for soil and plant health, it seamlessly integrates with some of the founding principles of regenerative farming.

“When formulating the product, we were inspired by a core factor of the world’s most resilient ecosystems – biodiversity. It’s why SlurryForSoil™ contains 18 different soil-borne microbes,” explains Geoff. “It also helps farmers reduce their reliance on synthetic fertiliser – another key facet of the regenerative mindset.”

SlurryForSoil™ is fast gaining a reputation for its ease of use and wide-reaching benefits. Most recently Leprino Foods announced that it would fund its use across suppliers’ farms in GB – a move that could potentially save nearly 4,000t of emissions through SlurryForSoil™’s ability to mitigate the need for synthetic fertiliser.

“With its diverse range of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria and fungi, SlurryForSoil™ turns slurry into highly effective bioactive fertiliser,” says Geoff. “SlurryForSoil™’s microbes have been chosen for their abilities to enhance soil structure, health, and productivity. It makes slurry handling quicker, mobilises and retains nutrients, as well as reducing odour. The bacteria and fungi are also proven to increase grass root growth and yields.”

SlurryForSoil™ is certified by OF&G assuring its use within many organic systems.
